Quanta Computer is a leading electronics manufacturer with a state-of-the-art facility in Nashville, Tennessee. Specializing in the production of high-performance computing and telecommunications equipment, Quanta serves major clients in industries ranging from consumer electronics to data centers. The Nashville facility is a key part of Quanta’s global manufacturing network, supporting innovation and efficiency in high-tech assembly and production.

Quanta Computer sought to enhance operational efficiency and improve workforce skills in lean manufacturing principles. As part of a broader initiative to drive continuous improvement and reduce waste in production, the company identified a need for structured training in lean methodologies. They partnered with Tennessee MEP, part of the MEP National Network™, to equip their employees with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to implement lean strategies effectively.

Tennessee MEP delivered the Lean Certificate Series, a five-day training program conducted on-site at Quanta Computer’s Nashville facility. The program covered core lean manufacturing concepts, including 5S, value stream mapping, standard work, and problem-solving techniques. The interactive sessions combined classroom instruction with hands-on exercises, enabling participants to apply lean tools directly to their work environment. Throughout the training, TMEP facilitators guided employees through real-world case studies and on-the-floor process evaluations, ensuring that key lean principles were understood, and actionable improvements could be implemented immediately. The Lean Certificate Series provided Quanta Computer with significant operational benefits, including improved efficiency as employees identified and eliminated process inefficiencies.
