I have received excellent assistance from the Tennessee APEX Accelerator regarding support with the SAM system, which is essential to operate my business.
~ Maria Gomes-Solecki, President
Immuno Technologies, Inc. of Memphis, Tennessee focuses on pre-clinical research on spirochetal diseases. The primary focus of the company is to develop and license vaccines and diagnostic tests to help mitigate the impact of Lyme disease and Leptospirosis on human and animal health.
As a company engaged in innovation and R&D, Immuno Technologies had earned Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) funding from the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in 2022 and needed the company’s SAM.gov listing to be up to date in order to receive the funding. Maria Gomes-Solecki, President of Immuno Technologies, found the Tennessee APEX Accelerator (then called PTAC) via the the SAM.gov website.
West Tennessee counselor Veronica Clark worked with Maria to help her get the company’s SAM renewal completed, which allowed Immuno Technologies to successfully receive the funding. The two continue to collaborate, not only as the company works towards finding more government contracting opportunities, but Maria has also generously shared her SBIR/STTR expertise as a panelist at a recent Tennessee APEX Accelerator-sponsored webinar on the topic.
According to Maria, “I have received excellent assistance from the Tennessee APEX Accelerator regarding support with the SAM system, which is essential to operate my business.”
Veronica said, “Working with Maria was a joy from our initial meeting, and we were delighted to have her participate at our SBIR/STTR event this winter as a panelist where she shared her expertise.”
